Guarnaschelli also participated in The Next Iron Chef in Season 4 of the show in 2011. Also, she lost in her final competition, the Food Network Challenge Ultimate Thanksgiving Feast. In the fourth series of The Next Iron Chef, she was hired as an assistant chef for Iron Chef Geoffrey Zakarian. In 2008, she was the host of The Food Network's The Cooking Loft with Alex Guarnaschelli in which she instructs the students in a small class teaching them how transform classic meals.
